Robocop - Another Anticipated Remake

If you didnt know yet, the famous 1987 RoboCop directed by Paul Verhoeven (Total Recall, Basic Instinct) gets all the attention needed to become once again a successful trilogy in a new age of digitized cinema.
At the time that Robocop was a phenomenon the film was awarded with an Oscar and had two BAFTA nominations.
Last movie Robocop 3 was released in 1993.
Over time Robocop made the delight of many generations, being part of a TV series in 1988, cartoon character , book heroe, animation super cop, action figures and even a proposal of a statue in Detroit. (you saw Peter Weller's video?)
It was a matter of time untill the half-human half-robot charater will get a remake, a new default styling and a new original screenplay.
After MGM has long flirted with director Darren Aronofsky for the upcoming movie (which later left the project) Robocop, they get a writer for an original script.
MGM hired Josh Zetumer to write the script and the director Jose Padilha in the driving seat of the project.
More than likely the new adventures of the hero cop Alex Murphy will be in 3D.
That's all that was needed, until now, for Robocop to come alive in a new era, and to tell you frankly, we cant wait to see the film future distribution and the new image of Robocop.
