Warner Bros. has officially announced the casting of Kevin Costner into the role of Jonathan Kent in reboot of Superman. After many rumors and speculations Warner Bros. has finally sent out the official press release regarding the casting of Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent in the new Superman movie. Costner will co-star alongside Dianne Lane who was recently cast into the role of Martha Kent as we sayd here .
With the Kent family filled out, we can now look forward to upcoming news on who will jump into the iconic role of Lois Lane and maybe more important, who will play the villain(s)!?
Zack Snyder has been accused by many fan sites, whose voice has been heard even on some news channels, the fact that he only uses the Superman franchise to lift another movie to Boxoffice without thinking at the character epic story.Snyder’s take in Superman is confirmed as a total franchise reboot, that will tell a new origin story and according to him, will show us a side of Superman we haven’t seen yet.
It will not be held down by the previous franchise films as Bryan Singer’s Superman Returns was.
Zack says :
- "In some ways Superman is the most recognizable superhero on the planet but also the most unknown. Just what he can be? People have preconceived ideas about him but probably all of them are wrong.”
Just like any other film lovers, who have heard or seen Snyder's statement, we wonder how come Snyder knows that all our ideas about Superman are wrong???Is Zack Snyder Superman's uncle and he knows better?
The famous Superman Man of Steel (not the original title) is produced by Charles Roven, Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Deborah Snyder, and is expected to reach cinemas in December 2012.
