Doom reboot in 3D

So ... not much time has passed since we said that more games will get a reboot (re-release, re-start, reinvention) and there it is, a rumor that got our attention.
This time it's the all known video game Doom, wich jumped from the computer screen to the big screen in 2005 in a not very successful attempt to describe the game subject of a terrifying adventure, leading the players in a dark future with all those horror elements that made the game a global phenomenon.

Universal Pictures has now scheduled a reboot in 3D of "Doom" which they hope will be closer to the original subject of the video game than the first attempt.
To be honest, we dont believe that this time they will get something better.
Perhaps if the 2005 film, Doom would not have had stars like Dwayne Johnson, or Karl Urban had been another wasted film.
A new attempt to bring this title to our attention, wich back in 2005 was much criticized by fans of the game, it need not only a 3D text next to the title to be successful.
The 3D log will not bring those who have spent whole days in front of the computer trying to finish the game into theaters.
Probably, Doom needs a director with courage, imagination and a budget of over 150 million dollars to make it a blockbuster in every sense of the word.
Untill all this will materialize, we will watch the subject and the rumors with great interest and we'll keep you posted.
